1. After looking over the site the biggest thing that made me want to join was the feel. It's very "cozy" and personal. It's obvious that this site was made from a passion, instead of for monetary benefit. Plus my great Uncle was a member and that s…
Great Rachel - I'll be interested to see what you find out. Also it hit me after I sent my comment and the Sbrocchi infomation to you -that of course there is another brother Nicola in that line who is younger than Francesco. So it's possible that your Matteo's father could be "either" Francesco or Nicola. Nicola is six years older than Francesco - so that leaves more room for the two generations that follow.
Hi again Rachel. You may have noticed by now that Phil has put the obit on the Milestones Forum with regards to your great uncle Frank, so the rest of the members will know. With regards to Sbrocchi, I do feel very strongly that we must have a connection somewhere - possibly only distant cousins. But this would be hard to find unless you can come up with some names in your family further back beyond your Matteo Sbrocchi. My great grandmother - Maria Grazia Sbrocchi's father's name was also Matteo - but it is a different generation. I am attaching the names that I have on wordpad, so you can see what I mean; let me know what you think.
Lynda.
Hi again Rachel - I was just following your trail to John Longiotti whom I have also left a message for, and Susan Longiotti. Looking at your comment to Susan I see you mention Maria Donata Sbrocchi. Do you know the year of birth of this person, because my great grandmother Maria Grazia Sbrocchi had a sister named Maria Donata Sbrocchi born 1860 - so I don't know if we are talking the same generation, or not. But even so, names are repeating themselves here - so there has to be a connection.

Hi Rachel - and welcome to Two Rosetos. I have accepted your request to be a friend. I had to get my head around your request with regard to Longiotti to remember what exactly it was that he and I had talked about. When I went to his page I saw your comment. Do I understand that he has passed away? If so, please accept my sympathy. When was this and I would assume that Phil Falcone - web administrator is not aware of this? Maybe a note from you under the Forum tab would be appropriate? Let me know if I can help in this regard.
I believe that your uncle contacted me because of the name Sbrocchi that both our families had in common. I am not sure that we found a direct connection, only that a lot of the names repeated so that we felt there might be a connection to each other somewhere. My paternal great grandmother was Maria Grazia Sbrocchi. I do have some names a couple of generations back from her - if you are interested. Let me know.
