Thank you Phil! I am so excited to be a part of this community. I can't quite describe the feeling, except to say that it feels like I have found something that was somehow lost. I am not usually a "joiner" but I am looking forward to exploring and blogging on this site! Thanks you for all your work!

Phil, The thing I most like when I open up the Forum page is to have the threads with the newest postings first, so I can immediately see what I haven't looked at yet. That to me is the most important thing. -- Ken Rosato

Phil,
The feast of San Filippo Neri in Roseto Valfortore always falls on the 26th of May, unless the priest decides to change the date , in order for it to be on a Sunday.

Lynda, Jack is the right guy to have on the case! He took it upon himself to help me out when I was trying to pin down the location of my great grandfather's house. The Presbyterian Cemetery's graves are mostly well marked, so if your great grandf...

Okay thanks Jack for explaining all of that. Now I'm up in the air again - LOL. My great grandfather was buried in 1910 - so it then would have been possible for him to have been buried in the Lady of Mt Carmel cemetery as my mom and aunts have al...

Hi again Lynda, I took the time to do a little research. The "Church"(Our Lady of Mt. Carmel) was completed in 1897. As a matter of fact; the slide show on our Home Page used to show the front of the church, with the "cornerstone"-(1897)-.It's not...
