Hello Peter,
I just joined and am looking for my Roseto connections-cousins,relatives and friends who share the history. My grandfather Alphonso DiIorio was 5 when he came to Roseto PA from Roseto Valfortore. His father was Pasquale and his mother was Giuditta Farace. He had a good sized family, but I can't remember most of the names except his sisters Millie and Carmela and his nephew Father Louis DiIorio. My grandfather passed away in 1955 in his 70's...
Thanks!
Rossana

Hi Peter !
Thanks for viewing "My Page"& enjoying my photos. That photo was taken on the front porch of Uncle Dan & Mille's & Aunt Nelli & Domenic Sabatino's half double on 7th street years ago, when they lived next door to each other. I sure do miss them, as I've said. You are absolutely right. That first generation WAS Golden. Amazing Italian/Americans with a superb work ethic.
That's why they all turned out to be quite sucessful in life.Really nice to hear from you Peter !
Ciao & Essere Ben,
(good bye & be well)
JACK ;o)
How are you? I had some bad times but am now doing better. Phyllis is losing her memory. I would like her to move in with me or Steve. She has a caretaker who visits often. I saw pictures of the family when I was visiting. They look good. Do you have any more grandchildren? We do.
Hi Peter !
Welcome to this AMAZING site ! You have just started a journey into your De Luca/Diorio, two Roseto connection.I recall meeting you, unfortunately,@ a Family funeral about 11 years ago.It was either for one of your Grandparents or Uncle Buddy.Peter; these DeLuca/Diorio families were the warmest, kindest people that I ever met. When I was young; I shared the same magical childhood
memories as you did.I loved traveling endlessly from one (great)
Aunt & Uncle to another;always stuffing myself with their food &
affection. I always looked forward to the next weekend; because
ther wasn't enough time to make the (rounds)with all.As a kid; I
idolized Buddy in his old Navy uniform. Our cousin,Denny Sabatino,
told me to say Hello ! Peter; please take the time to view "My Page"
SO that you might learn more about our Greatgrandfather,"Luigi
De Luca",who was an early pioneer in Roseto Pa.--Also click on to
"my photos((9)"located on the middle left of my page to see a few of my pics with captions listed below. It's so very nice to meet you
again(virtually)here. Please keep in touch & navigate all of the very unique "Pages"to obtain a real sense of where it all started. Some of
the photos of Roseto,Italia & Biccari (8miles away) are majestic &
literally bring you to the homes & streets wher our ancestors
lived for hundreds of years.
Take care,
JACK DE LUCA
