ABOUT ME:
My dad was an attorney, Sullivan (nee Salvino) Cistone in Bangor until about 1960 when we moved to Easton (Bethlehem Township). He worked as a US Attorney in Philadelphia for 20-years until he passed away in 1976. My mother, Henrietta Werner Cistone, taught school in Bangor. My grandfather, Peter (Pietro) Cistone came from Roseto VF around 1888 and married my Grandmother Constance Liberto in Roseto, PA: I am told that they were the first couple married in the Roseto Presbryterian Church. My dad had 7 other siblings all in Roseto/Bangor. I attended Bangor schools until we moved in 1960 and graduated from Liberty High School in Bethlehem, as did my wife Margaret. We have 4 grown children between us and 4 grandchildren (so far).
My dad would have been 100 on July 22nd, and my mom 97. All of their generation are gone now.

Hi Jim,
First of all;A MUCH BELATED "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU" ! !--It was very nice to hear from you.Yes; we DO have much in common. Thanks for remembering my Grandmother @ Columbus School. I used to sit in her class as a guest on a few occasions & I saw that she ruled with a "Hickory stick."
I do remember the Cistone name brought up on occasions years ago.I think that my Father consulted with you Dad years ago in regard to a legal issue.
I am surprised to hear that your Mother also was a Schoolteacher. It's a shame of how small their pay was, compared to today's wages !As I tell everybody on this site, I miss the "old Roseto" very much. It has changed, drastically. It is a pleasure to meet you, Jim.Please feel free to drop me a line anytime.

Take care,
JACK

Jim, Happy Birthday. The beat goes on. I've been really interested in the Lynda Matthews great grandfather burial mystery. I see you've participated as well. -- Ken

Jim,

It's very possible. The entire family was known around town (and still is) as Libby. I know that a good number of them worked in blouse mills until they retired too. One was conveniently located across the street from the original family home.

Hi Jim,
Spoke with my dad, Doug, and he said that Joseph Beck is one of our relations (from Mt. Bethel). My grandfather (Charlie) will be arriving in PA later on this month and I'll get some more information from him. What a small world!

Jim- I did have a great-uncle named Albert Liberto who lived in Bangor, PA for most of his life. He and my grandfather were two of 11 children.

Hi jim,
The name Cistone sure is known around Akron. John Cistone coached the fighting Irish St. Vincent-St. Mary football team for many years.

Jim,
Happy Birthday! I don't know about you, but they seem to get closer and closer together to me.
