Happy Birthday and I hope you enjoyed your very special day!

PS. My Dad (Carl Cerino) says Hi, and also wishes you a very Happy Birthday!
Dora was my grandmother, and my Uncle Joe, one of her sons, lived next door. Grammy died in 1987, and Uncle Joe died almost two years ago. Our family moved from Third Avenue to 337 North Ninth Street sometime around the time my brother Les was born in 1954. We were there until the end of 1964. My father, Nick Rosato, is the grandson and namesake of one of Roseto's founders, Nicola Rosato (that's actually Dad's name as well, but he has always used Nicholas). Dad will turn 96 on Valentine's Day, and I will be there for the celebration (I live in the Houston, Texas area). Could I ask you a favor, since I will be in and around Roseto in less than a month? Would you know the street address of Nicola Rosato's house, the first one built in Roseto, which is still standing? Dad tried to point it out to me a few years ago, but he wasn't sure anymore. I'd like to show it to him if I could. Thank you. -- Ken
Happy Birthday, Mr. Mayor (a couple of days early). For over 10 years I lived on North Ninth Street in Bangor, about a half block from the Roseto borough line. There was a family of Confalones a block from us on North Eighth Street. There was also a Pontiac garage on the corner of Eighth Street and Second Avenue that I think was operated by a Confalone, but I could be mistaken about that. Would you be related to those Confalones? -- Ken
My maternal grandmother was Caterina Confalone Curcio who certainly had relatives in Roseto, Italy and Roseto, PA. I seem to recall she had a cousin named Columbine Confalone. Any possibility she's related to you.
How was your visit with the mayor from Roseto,VF? My mom is sending the newspaper to me with the article. I can't wait to read it. I hope your visit went well.
Mr. Confalone,
My great grandfather was Nicola Rosato, who built the first house in what is now Roseto, PA. I have never been able to determine exactly where that house is. If you know the street address, could you let me know? I will be in the Slate Belt this weekend, and would be able to see it for myself. Thank you very much.

I have been following the Confalone ancestory thanks to your reply and have come to the conclusion that your father Pasquale is my grandfather Pasquale's first cousin. My grandfather's father was Liberato. My grandfather Pasquale had a brother Domenico who lived in Philidelphia, PA and he had a son Liberato.
Many years ago I visited Roseto, PA and took photos of tombstones in the cemetary next to the church. One of these is inscribed Pasquale Confalone who died Feb 15, 1918 and his wife was Carmela D'Avella who died in 1927. Is there any connection ? Hope to hear from you soon. Regards Valentino
