Hi Catherine, just noticed that you commented on your own wall,,, which doesn't notify the person you meant it to.

I was just surprised to see her comments. I don't know my way around the site well enough to have picked up the obit. MaryAnn was my high school librarian, but more she was a family friend. Her mother Grace and my mother were very good friends, and I have many memories of visiting them at their house throughout my childhood. MaryAnn and I exchanged many emails. I saved every one. I am thankful that before her surgery my mother and I and MaryAnn had a wonderful visit.

Catherine, yes we know about the death of MaryAnn Catino, and we have her obit here> http://tworosetos.ning.com/forum/topics/mary-ann-catino-76-february. As for getting the information you wanted on recipes and family, I try to stress that this site's members are what makes it so great. You can't get this kind of input from any other source.

Hello Catherine,

you had asked if I had a lemoncello recipe.

Limoncello Recipe

1 liter (1000 ml) of alcohol that is 90% alchol (ie. everclear, Spritus or the strongest grappa you can find)
10 medium to large lemons (italian lemons give the best flavour and colour)
1 1/2 liters of water (6 1/3 cups)
3 pounds of sugar (6 1/2 cups)

Wash the lemons with a vegetable brush and hot water to remove any reside of pesticides or wax; pat the lemons dry.
Using a potato peeler, take all the lemon rinds off of the lemons so there is no white pith on the peel.
Place the rind-peelings in a large container with the Everclear alcohol.
Cover the container and let it sit for seven days. On the eight day, strain the the peels from alcohol; discard peels.

In a large saucepan, make a simple syrup by combining the water and sugar; let it simmer "fast" for 15 minutes.
Let simple syrup cool to room temperature. Add to alcohol. Place in your freezer and drink at your pleasure.

have fun

Catherine - Two points. First, I use Firefox and don't have any problems. You might click Help in the browser and then "Check for updates". You might have an old version. As for uploading, are you positive that you are clicking SAVE after you have done the upload? Changes won't stick and files won't load if you don't click SAVE. Please let me know EXACTLY what you are having problems with.

Second, your last two comments were probably meant for Marlene but you posted them on your own wall,,, and she won't be notified.

Oops, meant duplication.

This may be a dupication as I entered basically the same comment from another browser. I do not seem to be able to upload anything or use anything that requires Java script when I use Firefox, so I must go to Safari (I use a mac.). But Firefox is my default browser so all email links open in that. Must ask Phil how to resolve that. Regarding my mother: her name is Antonette, and she goes by Nettie. Her friends in high school used to call her Toni. She is almost 86 (Nov. 10th).

Yes, you are right, it was Annette. She is a very warm person. She has an apartment in Roseto Valfortore which she offered to my cousin Valerie and I if we ever wanted to go!

By the way, I meant to ask your Mothers name. She and my mother would have been first cousins?
